If your Vin Diesel impression is spot-on, Sony is looking for you.

Diesel is set to star in Bloodshot, where he will play the titular comic book character. The character, brought back to life by scientists, is infused with nanotechnology and becomes a superhuman killing machine.

Sony Pictures Releasing was reportedly looking for someone to stand-in for the movie star, but they only need someone that sounds like him.

"We are casting a sound-alike for Vin Diesel … The voice needs to be able to mimic him as closely as possible," a casting letter read, according to The Hollywood Reporter. A source told the news outlet that the 52-year-old star’s voice will be used in the final version of the film; they only need someone that sounds like him “for minor voiceover tweaks in a test-screening print.”

Diesel is excited to be a part of the project. In 2018, Comic Book reported that the star said “Sony is finally going to lead the charge in the superhero movies of the future.”

“We just have a great cast,” the Fast & Furious star said. “Sony, you know that Sony is finally going to lead the charge in the superhero movies of the future because they're incorporating a part of reality and incorporating issues that exist in society and embedding them into a quote-unquote superhero movie. It's just awesome."

Dave Wilson is directing the project. Bloodshot belongs to Valiant Entertainment, reportedly the third largest comic book universe, behind Marvel and DC. This will be the comic book company’s first feature film.

The film is set to premiere on February 21, 2020.
