Paramount Pictures has released the trailer for Will Smith’s newest film Gemini Man.

Helmed by Ang Lee, the dramatic action movie sees Smith chased by a smart and unknown enemy, soon discovering that it’s a younger version of himself. The trailer starts from the perspective of the young Smith and becomes a bit eerie when you realize you’re basically looking at the Fresh Prince era Smith.

“Twenty-five years ago, they made you from me!” Smith says to his younger cloned self, who he realizes was sent to kill him by the agency that employs both men. “They chose me because there’s never been anybody like me. We have to end this right now!”

Gemini Man used digital effects to reverse the 50-year-old star by almost three decades, Entertainment Weekly reports. The film has reportedly been in development since 1997 when Walt Disney Studios bought the concept. However, because the intricate visual effects demanded two versions of the same man, decades apart in age, the project sat on the shelf at Disney, per Variety.

The “emotional and physical challenges of making this film have been the most demanding of my career,” Smith said in a statement, according to The Wrap. “Ang is pushing the limits to give people an experience in the movie theater that you can’t get anywhere else. This is not only an action film, but an exploration of what one’s younger self can ultimately teach one’s older self.”

Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Clive Owen, and Benedict Wong also star beside Smith. Gemini Man hits theaters on Oct. 11, 2019.
