Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are reportedly backing out of a deal for a $14 million Miami Beach condo, according to TMZ.

The couple reportedly cited privacy as the reason for their last-minute decision, after the two were photographed on the balcony of the condo in December. They're now allegedly looking into property in the Bahamas or other beach-side destinations where the paparazzi won't have such easy access. The condo—4,700 square feet, 4 bed and 5 1/2 bath located in the 18-floor high rise Faena House aka the "Billionaire Beach Bunker," was originally meant as a Christmas gift from Kanye to Kim last year. Kim and Ye will reportedly lose the $600,000 down payment as a result of their indecisiveness

Kanye's decision to cozy up in Miami is hardly a surprise given the his well-known fondness of the city. As an Art Basel regular, Kanye reportedly scoped out the apartment while attending the annual art festival last December. Kim similarly has ties to Miami, as many may remember she and her sister's show Kourtney & Kim Take Miami.

A spokesperson for 'Ye told Page Six, "When Kim and Kanye went to Miami to view the condo together after Christmas, Kim loved it, but felt it was not private enough for them. They are now looking for a vacation home that is more secluded and offers much more privacy for their family."

Part of Kim's need for privacy stems from her chilling experience being robbed in Paris. She and Kanye recently instituted new security measures in their Los Angeles home as she "doesn't want [the home] to be a target for thieves."
