With New York Comic-Con taking over the Big Apple this weekend, Netflix wisely drops the full official trailer for Season 3 of Marvel's Daredevil. They've been strong with the promo; just last week we got official confirmation of Wilson Fisk's return to Hell's Kitchen, and before then we got to see just how brutal Matt Murdock's willing to take this season's fight. Today? We get a better sense of where the narrative is headed.

The religious iconography is front-and-center early on, with Daredevil hugged up on a cross to start the trailer. Murdock laments on how he used to want to help people but now says that he was "fooling himself," as darkness will only respond to darkness. In contrast, we see Fisk cut his deal to get out of prison, and it would appear that he's got one M.O.: to get his revenge on Daredevil. How? By making him public enemy No. 1.

The easiest way to do that is to get the news media against Daredevil, and it looks like we may have figured out why Daredevil's previous Season 3 teases featured him without his now-famous suit: it looks like someone else is roaming the streets in that same suit, posing as Daredevil.

Is this Fisk's plan? To frame Daredevil by having a phony wreak havoc on the city? Or does it cut deeper than that? Check out the trailer up above and come to your own conclusions, then head over to Netflix on Oct. 19 to see if you were right about the situation Daredevil's gotten himself into this season.
