Back in late June, Drake teased the opportunity for a fan to win a Scorpion jacket through Suprize, a new app launched in February that offers up free prizes for winning games. The Toronto artist’s immense popularity ended up being a gift and a curse for this particular prize; the amount of people who logged onto Suprize to win the jacket caused the app to crash.
A source close to Suprize tells Complex: “The Scorpion jacket is still available to win. As the app crashed ahead of a winner being announced, the jacket is still up for grabs and will be released on the app shortly.”
Additionally, tickets for the Aubrey & the Three Migos Tour will be available, with the winner having the option to choose which date they’d like to attend.
A quick look through the app's Instagram account highlights the type of items users have won in the past: Supreme, Bape, Fenty Beauty, Yeezys, along with concert tickets and cash. According to Suprize, all the items available are either bought by or sent to the company directly. The items chosen are crowdsourced, with the Suprize team gauging what users are interested in by asking them directly on social media. Suprize has also tapped celebrities to help get the word out:

Once you’re logged into the app (it takes a phone number to sign up), you’ll see a countdown for when the next game and prize will be available, with instructions on how to win showing up 30 seconds before the game starts. The game begins when the countdown hits zero, and the user who is able to complete the game first wins the prize.
At face value, it’s a no-strings-attached approach that combines pop culture, fashion, entertainment, and gaming for users looking to win free prizes with just a few taps on their phone screen. Multiple prizes are offered on a daily basis, though if you do win something, you have to wait 10 days before you can win another prize.
While the individuals behind the app still remain a mystery—Refinery29 reports two people who are connected to Drake, Ariana Grande, and Justin Bieber run it—it’s clear Suprize is vying for a spot in a market where apps like HQ Trivia are becoming a prime destination for the millennial generation.
