If we're to believe the product description of NewEgg for the upcoming Mario Kart 8 from Nintendo, the game will have the series' first track editor.

“Mario Kart 8 Wii U is a new game for the Wii U. It features new elements such as customizing bikes and designing your own tracks. It is the sequel to the game Mario Kart 7.” Is what is posted on the product page.

This could be a serious game changer for Nintendo who commonly forget to reveal, or seem to skip over the most exciting parts of its new games. Nintendo, for it's part, has not announced a track editor for the game and it's possible that this is a slip-up by NewEgg, as other retailers do not mention the feature.

But what a revolution that would be. Nintendo has announced that the karts in Mario Kart 8 will be customizable, just like the previous version on 3DS. Check out the trailer below and keep your fingers crossed for a Nintendo announcement.
