Travis Scott fans are signing a petition asking Coachella to let him perform at the festival’s 2023 installment. The petition’s goal is to get to 75,000 signatures, and at the time of writing it already has nearly 70,000.

The rapper was originally set to headline the 2022 festival, but he was removed from the lineup following the Astroworld festival crowd crush that left 10 people dead. Travis Scott fan James Connors shared the Change.org petition asking for the festival to book him for the 2023 edition or have Kanye bring him when he headlines this fest later this year.

“We all know Astroworld tragedy wasn’t Travis’ fault,” reads the petition, which was first reported on by TMZ. “Let him get back to performing on the biggest stages!”

Despite the enthusiasm of fans, it remains to be seen when Travis will return to the stage. The Astroworld fest tragedy effectively pushed pause on his career and partnerships For instance, Scott’s collaboration with Dior was recently postponed “indefinitely.”

It remains unlikely that Scott will work with Live Nation, one of the parties involved with the organization of Astroworld, anytime in the near future. However, Coachella is organized by Goldenvoice, a company owned by Anschutz Entertainment Group. Whether they’d be happy to work with him after Astroworld, though, isn’t immediately clear.

Earlier this month, it was reported that Scott is facing another lawsuit, but this time it’s in connection with uncleared usage of an artist’s work, as opposed to the many suits he faces following the festival.
