Lil Durk is one of few artists who found themselves on both Kanye West’s Donda and Drake’s Certified Lover Boy during the two music giants’ ongoing feud. And now some recent comments are confusing fans of both albums.

In an Instagram caption posted on Sunday, Durkio—who Coi Leray recently revealed convinced her to stick to music—made things a bit cryptic by writing: “Ask my bitch I was a CLB before it was a DONDA.”

Prior to the release of CLB, Durk was featured on Drake’s “Laugh Now Cry Later” single. The song, which dropped back in 2020, ultimately didn’t make the cut for Drake’s sixth studio album.

While it’s unclear what Durk meant with the caption, some fans seem to be a bit peeved at his words, which they’re still having a hard time trying to make sense of several hours after it was initially posted to Instagram.

It’s now been a month since the release of Certified Lover Boy, and many are still looking at Durk’s verse on “In The Bible” as the most lover-boy moment on the project. During the verse, Durk rapped “India Royale cosmetic, I’m just promotin’ my bitch/Drake song do a billion streams for sure, I’m just promotin’ her shit.” Even Drake was happy he threw the line onto his record.

“U ain’t lie…😂,” Drizzy wrote under an Instagram post.
