Jay Worthy and Larry June have joined forces for their new collaborative album 2 P’z in a Pod.

The 11-track project features the previously released single “Leave It Up to Me,” as well as guest appearances from Jim Jones, Roc Marciano, CeeLo Green, and Suga Free.

Over the past few years, Worthy and June have teamed up on several tracks, beginning with the 2018 Chuck Inglish-produced loosie “On Sight.” Since then, June contributed a guest verse to Worthy’s 2020 mixtape Eat When You’re Hungry Sleep When You’re Tired, and the latter returned the favor on the Bay Area rapper’s 2020 tape Numbers. The pair most recently linked up on “Survival Series ’95,” a track off Westside Gunn’s 2021 project Hitler Wears Hermes VIII: Sincerely Adolf.

“This album has been a long time in the making,” Worthy said of 2 P’z in a Pod in a statement. “We spoke about this in 2018 and waited for the right time. Really proud of this album and that’s my brother in real life so u can hear the chemistry on the tracks. Guarantee nothing else sounds like this out right now.”

June added, “Me and Worthy been mapping this project out for over 4 years. We actually thought to do this tape while hiking in Los Angeles in 2018, after a couple trips to Vegas bussin moves we decided to execute it. Took a little time but we are here now. Much love to Sean House as well. Jay my bro so this was easy…half of the songs I forgot we even did! Numbers, aye aye aye.”

In tandem with the release, Worthy and June shared the music video for “She’s Not Around/Maybe The Next Time.” Check out the visual below, and stream 2 P’z in a Pod now on all major platforms.
