UPDATED 7/21, 1:05 p.m.: Kodak is now on house arrest with an ankle monitor and subject to drug testing, per a federal judge’s orders in court on Wednesday.

As reported by VladTV and confirmed in court documents reviewed by Complex, Black paid a $250,000 bond and will have to give notice two days in advance before doing shows or events, which he’s permitted to do since exemptions for his home detention include medical purposes, court dates, and employment.

UPDATED 7/20, 10:20 a.m.: Kodak’s lawyer Bradford Cohen says the oxycodone found on the rapper was legally prescribed.

Black has “battled chronic pain after getting shot in February during a scuffle in L.A. over Super Bowl weekend,” per TMZ, and “suffers ongoing pain” from being assaulted by guards in prison.

TMZ says Bradford turned proof of the prescriptions over to prosecutors.

UPDATED 7/17, 2:30 p.m. ET: Kodak Black was released from jail on bond, the New York Postreports.

NBC 6 reporter Ryan Nelson took to Twitter on Saturday to confirm the news, revealing that Kodak was released after paying $75,000. The South Florida rapper has been charged with possessing a controlled substance without a prescription, as well as trafficking oxycodone.

“FHP [Florida Highway Patrol] says Kodak’s SUV was pulled over for window tints and expired tag Fri. in Ft. Lauderdale,” Nelson wrote. “Troopers say they smelled marijuana, searched, found 31 oxycodone pills & $74, 960 cash. Charges: Controlled substance w/o prescription, trafficking oxycodone. Released on $75k bond.”

Kodak Black was pulled over by cops on Friday, and he was arrested after authorities discovered 31 oxycodone pills and $74,960 in cash during a search.

As TMZ reported, law enforcement sources said that the rapper was riding in a Dodge Durango in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida when they spotted what was believed to be illegal window tints. Officers pulled him over, and searched the car after they reportedly smelled marijuana. During the search, they recovered 31 oxycodone pills and the cash, and law enforcement sources added that his license and tags were also expired.

He’s since been taken to Broward County jail, and has been booked on possession of a controlled substance without prescription and trafficking in oxycodone.

Kodak’s lawyer, Bradford Cohen, shared a statement following the arrest. “Never judge a case based on an arrest,” he wrote. “There are always additional facts and circumstances that give rise to a defense, especially in this case. We will get him a bond today and move forward with resolving the matter quickly.”

Kodak was arrested on New Year’s Eve on trespassing charges, but the case was later dropped. In more recent months, he’s been busy releasing music and performing. He even indicated in June that he has enough unreleased music with Drake that the pair could drop a collaborative album.
