Kid Cudi is saying goodbye to social media.

The Grammy-winning rapper announced his decision via Twitter on Saturday, after expressing concerns over online toxicity and its affect on his mental health.

“I’m turnin’ off all comments on IG for all posts,” he wrote. “And I’m thinkin’ about gettin off IG all together, honestly.  Think I’ma just keep my Twitter. And I’m only gonna do that cuz I have to. I really wanna get off all socials.”

Cudi stepped away from social media several years ago, after checking himself into rehab to address his anxiety, depression, and suicidal urges. He told fans Saturday they were a big reason for his return, but the constant negativity from trolls were ruining the experience.

“There’s a lot of love out there for me, which is why I got back on socials, but some of the shit I see, the trolls, I don’t need to see that shit. For my mental,” he wrote.

His most recent Instagram post was a selfie that was shared Saturday afternoon. Cudi said the photo would be his last one he personally posts.

“So I think that pic is my last post. From here on out I’ma have my team make posts,” he wrote. “I love y’all. This was fun. Until it wasn’t.”

Cudi reassured his followers that he wasn’t in a bad space, and was, in fact, “very happy.”

“In order to maintain that, I’m steppin away,” he explained. “I like being a mystery anyway.”

Though he didn’t provide details on what prompted his decision, the announcement came about a month after his highly publicized squabble with Kanye West. The G.O.O.D. Music founder took to Instagram to accuse Cudi of being disloyal, and would no longer appear on his Donda 2 album. Ye specifically took issue with Cudi’s friendship with Pete Davidson, who is currently dating Ye’s estranged wife, Kim Kardashian.

“Just so everyone knows Cudi will not be on Donda because he’s friends with you know who,” Ye wrote.

Cudi didn’t hesitate to fire back.

“Too bad I don’t wanna be on ur album u fuckin dinosaur hahaha,” Cudi wrote. “Everyone knows I’ve been the best thing about ur [albums] since I met u. Ima pray for u brother.”
