Gunna performs during Gunna Presents New Album "DS4EVER"

Just a month after the release of his DS4EVER album, Gunna rings in Valentine’s Day by dropping his new piano-heavy single, “Banking On Me.”

The track was initially released last month as part of the deluxe edition of DS4EVER, but was later pulled from streaming services. “Banking On Me” pairs the YSL rapper with Metro Boomin, who also produced a string of DS4EVER cuts including the Drake-featuring “P Power.”

Released in January, DS4EVER earned Gunna his second No. 1 album on the Billboard 200, moving 150,300 equivalent album units in its first week. Even more, the LP produced the biggest social media trend of the year, as blue 🅿️ emojis were seen everywhere following its release.

During an interview with Complex last month, Gunna explained what it felt like to top the Weeknd’s Dawn FM for the No. 1 slot on the Billboard 200.

“I’m definitely cherishing it, because it’s a moment,” he said. “The Weeknd is a very, very big artist. I mean, he’s done the Super Bowl and everything. Just to be fighting with him—good sportsmanship fighting, because I’m cool with him—it’s love. You feel like a big dog, since you’re going against a big dog. And it’s on its way to passing it.”

Stream Gunna’s new single now on all major platforms.
