Gucci Mane and Lil Durk have linked up for a hard-hitting new track and accompanying video called “Rumors.”

Produced by Tay Keith, “Rumors” dropped on Monday and marks the pair’s first link-up since 2014’s “War Wit Us (Remix).” The track’s Jerry Production-directed video finds the pair hanging with their friends late at night as they flash their jewelry and trade braggadocious rhymes. It remains unclear whether the new track is part of any larger project from either artist, but regardless, Gucci said on Instagram he counts on “Rumors” becoming an anthem for the streets.

“This gone be a street smash when we drop this,” Gucci teased of the collaboration on Instagram a day before its release.

The pair’s team-up comes as both rappers have been hard at work on new music heading into 2022. Lil Durk recently collaborated with Jeremih and 50 Cent on the new theme song for Fif’s series Power Book IV: Force.

As for Gucci, he recently closed out his So Icy Christmas compilation album with a new track that paid homage to his friend Young Dolph, who was shot and killed while shopping for cookies at Makeda’s Cookies in his hometown of Memphis. The track, titled “Long Live Dolph,” was also graced with a visual directed by Omar the Director, and featured heartwarming photos of Gucci and Dolph together as well as footage from his recent memorial service.
