Lil Durk is far removed from the Chi-raq disciple that helped created the Drill genre. He’s now one of the industry’s most sought-out and versatile artists. That’s on display as he hops the language barrier to give Colombian rapper, Farina, a feature.

The Farina, Durk, and Play-N-Skillz collab “Nueva Vida” arrives with a video premiered by Complex that shows the similarities between their cultures, just like the song. Farina’s melodic, Spanish verses are wrapped tightly around Durk’s feature to create the perfect present for fans.

“Affiliated with the rich niggas and the street niggas, we the same/I done came from the bottom, took me a long way to get a bankroll,” Durk croons. “Mama mia, bad thing look like Selena/Hundred thousand worth of tennis chains on, thinking I’m fucking Serena.”

Farina’s collaboration with Durk has been in the works as the two connected during quarantine to create “Nueva Vida.”

“We started working on this song during quarantine and it has been a hard secret to keep! This collaboration has been one of the most exciting collaborations I’ve done in my career thus far,” she explained. “I am a huge fan of Lil Durk’s music and am super honored that he joined me for this song.”
