Eminem shows up for a lengthy verse on Cordae’s “Parables” remix, and he utilized the opportunity to diss Tekashi 6ix9ine with a Meek Mill reference.

At the tail end of Corade’s new album From a Birds Eye View, Eminem comes through with a reference-heavy verse that name drops everyone from Cheech and Chong to Dr. Dre. Em has already dissed controversial Brooklyn rapper 6ix9ine in the past, but here he’s making his feelings on the “Gummo” rapper abundantly clear.

“It’s so hard for me to fathom this was once my life / Shit’ll make you wanna cop out like a plea deal / So I treat a beat like it’s Tekashi, spit on that bitch like Meek Mill,” Em raps near the start of his appearance on the track. He appears to be referencing Meek’s multiple run-ins with the rainbow haired rapper. The two clashed early last year outside of an Atlanta club, and Meek claimed he spat on 6ix9ine.

Em previously dissed 6ix9ine on his track “Zeus,” on which he rapped, “She says I am trash, but she listens to Tekashi.” The same song saw him apologize to former collaborator Rihanna, too, over a leaked lyric that referenced Chris Brown’s domestic violence case.

The arrival of the “Parables” remix is bad for 6ix9ine, but great for Cordae. Em shared his admiration for Cordae in a 2020 interview about his Academy Awards performance of “Lose Yourself.”

“YBN Cordae, he’s dope,” Em told Variety.
