After announcing his new album Melt My Eyez See Your Future this month, Denzel Curry has shared the first single and cinematic video, “Walkin.”

Directed by Adrian Villagomez, the visual sees Denzel on a hero’s journey across a barren landscape. Taking from both sci-fi epics and classic westerns in equal measure, the video for the Kal Banx-produced song even ends with an old-fashioned showdown. “Walkin” is the first preview of what to expect from Melt My Eyez, due to arrive later this year.

The 26-year-old Curry announced the new project at the start of the year with a brief teaser. He also let fans know they should expect contributions from Rico Nasty, JPEGMAFIA, T-Pain, Slowthai, Kenny Beats, Thundercat, and Robert Glasper among others.

Denzel has made it clear he’s going in a different direction this time around. "I like traditional hip-hop, I like drum and bass, I like trap, I like poetry, so a lot of that is going to be interwoven in this album including jazz and a lot of genres that I came up on as a kid and just being in my parents’ house," he explained. "This album is made up of everything that I couldn't give you on TA13OO or Imperial because I was going through depression anger issues.”

To coincide with the release of “Walkin,” Denzel announced he’ll be heading out on a North American tour starting in April. Supporting acts include Kenny Mason, Mike Dimes, Redveil, and PlayThatBoiZay.
