After months of teasers, Coi Leray’s debut album Trendsetter has finally arrived. The album dropped on Friday after Coi announced its imminent release on Instagram back in March.

“Introducing My Debut Album: TRENDSETTER,” she wrote in the caption. “Dropping Friday, April 8‼️& I just want to finally let y’all bxtchs know, ain’t nobody fw me in that booth. This will be one of the biggest female artist albums in the world and I put my life on it. It’s not a race, it’s a Trendsetter Marathon.”

The album comes after Coi previously dropped the singles “Anxiety” and the Nicki Minaj-assisted “Blick Blick!” which was given the visual treatment in March and now has over 12 million views on YouTube. The “Twinnem” artist has been teasing her debut project for a minute, previously announcing collabs with A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie and Polo G on social media to get fans excited. Polo G, Lil Tecca, G Herbo, Chief Keef, Lil Durk, Mustard, Pooh Shiesty, and others are also featured on the album.

Speaking to Nick and Eddie on Apple Music 1’s New Music Daily, Coi Leray said it was “a dream come true” to work with the artists that are featured on her debut.

“I would feel very, very weird if nobody wanted to work with me,” she said. “At this point, it’s like damn, what am I doing this for if nobody with my music and nobody wants to work at that? I don’t know, I grew up listening to all those people on my featured list, and to be able to have an actual collab with them is a dream come true still to this day, don’t care how big, even if I’m bigger than the artists on there, it’s a dream come true to always work with every single last person on my project.”

Trendsetter also arrives after Coi nearly quit music earlier in 2022, taking to Twitter to announce her departure with a message that left fans concerned. “To all my trendsetters, I’m sorry I let you down,” she wrote in a since-deleted tweet. “I don’t have it in me to keep pushing. I feel like I’m brain dead. I pray that everyone continues to keep setting trends and striving. Don’t know when I’ll be back but I don’t even want to think about it. I love you for life.”

Luckily, it seems she’s back and feeling better than ever. Check out Coi Leray’s Trendsetter below via Spotify or over on other steaming platforms.
