Benny the Butcher is a suspect in a grand theft case.

TMZ reports a woman who recently shared a room with the Griselda rapper at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills has accused Benny of stealing her expensive jewelry. The alleged victim claims that when she woke up during her stay, her earrings, which she says are valued around $10,000, were gone.

According to the victim, Benny later admitted to taking the earrings and promised to return them. A few weeks have passed, yet the earrings are still missing. The woman has since filed a police report.

The news arrives as the Buffalo-bred rapper prepares to drop his latest project Tana Talk 4. Due out March 11, the tape will mark Benny’s first project since last year’s Pyrex Picasso. The upcoming album was produced by The Alchemist and Daringer, and will include the previously released track “Johnny P’s Caddy” featuring J. Cole.

Benny has been pretty tightly-lipped about what fans can expect from Tana Talk 4, but told Charlamagne last month that it’ll include big name features, including Cole and Diddy as well as his fellow Griselda members, Conway the Machine and Westside Gunn.

Back in November, Benny inked a deal with Def Jam, announcing the news on Instagram with a photo of himself signing the contract.

“A Buffalo n***a the new face of The Legendary Def Jam Records,” he wrote in the caption. “Signed my major deal finally.”
