Lady Gaga Will Perform a David Bowie Tribute at the Grammys

With the Grammys only a few weeks away, the organizers of the event just announced their plans for a David Bowie tribute during the show. In an interview with the New York Times, longtime Grammy producer Ken Ehrlich revealed that Lady Gaga will be the lone artist involved in the Bowie tribute performance and that it will last six or seven minutes. Gaga, who was already scheduled to perform at the show prior to Bowie's death last month, was considered for the tribute with a few other artists, but in the end they settled on just Gaga.

Ehrlich said that Gaga will not only pay tribute to Bowie's influence on the music world, but also fashion and pop culture. Ehrlich also confirmed that there will be a tribute for B.B. King during the show, which will feature multiple artists. It's still unclear who will open the Grammys this year, as Ehrlich confirmed that it won't be Gaga. AdeleKendrick Lamarthe WeekndCarrie Underwood, and more will all perform at the show, which airs on Feb. 15. In addition, Gaga will also take the very big stage at Levi's Stadium at the beginning of Super Bowl 50 to sing the national anthem this Sunday, Feb. 7, according to the APThe honor marks another big moment for the Golden Globe winner and Oscar nominee who is already having a very big 2016.
