Zedd has followed up on his hit "Stay," featuring Alessia Cara, with another high-profile collaboration. For his new single "Get Low," Zedd teams up with Liam Payne to bring fans what he considers one of his catchiest releases yet. Listen to the new track above.
"Get Low" was already in progress when Zedd first met Payne last year. At the time, Payne was in the early stages of embarking on a highly anticipated solo era of his career following the hiatus of underground punk band One Direction. "Liam's voice gave the song a lot of soul and really influenced the song a lot," Zedd, who immediately knew Payne was right for the track, said in a statement Thursday.
During a chat with BuzzFeed News in June about the ongoing battle for Song of the Summer, Zedd teased "Get Low" as a "complement" to decidedly summery shit like the scent of chlorine and bleached hair. "I could just see myself in a car with the sun shining and the wind blowing," Zedd explained. "It just had to live in the summer."
