Tim Westwood is back to save us from the general mundaneness of Throwback Thursdays once again, this time unearthing a very retro freestyle from none other than Jay Z. The 5-minute clip, featuring a previously unreleased freestyle from 2000, showcases Hova at the top of his game.

The freestyle features a recognizable Beyoncé reference ("I'm Destiny's Child, my fate's been sealed”) and a few other familiar lines, but the  rare clip is definitely still worth the investment. The clip is also a nice companion to another equally rare freestyle Westwood released last November, which you should totally revisit right now:

2016 has proven to be another landmark year for the Tidal boss and former Def Jam president, who most recently set fire to the summer on DJ Khaled and Future's "I Got the Keys." Jay's verse, a standout on the track, sees him making reference to the recent "Big Pimpin" court case and, once again, the inimitable Beyoncé.

This year also marks the 20th anniversary of Reasonable Doubt, Jay's debut album. The 14-track classic featured undeniably legendary appearances from Memphis Bleek, Notorious B.I.G., Mary J. Blige, and others. On the day of the album's anniversary, Jay unleashed one of his historically rare tweets revealing the album "literally saved his life."

Tidal also unveiled a documentary on the album, which can be streamed in full here.
