Taylor Swift made her entire back catalog available to streaming services as soon as the clock struck midnight on Friday. In a statement from Swift's management, the move was said to be inspired by the Recording Industry Association of America's recent 100 Million Song Certification announcement and Swift's global sales of 10 million albums:
Fair enough. *pauses Katy Perry's Witness* Wait. Didn't this happen at the exact same time as Katy Perry's Witness release?
But surely no one noticed this little coincidence, right? 🙃

Perry most recently addressed Swift happenings while doing karaoke with James Corden in a car.
"I tried to talk to her about it, and she wouldn't speak to me," Perry said, referencing the long-rumored backing dancers disagreement. "I do the right thing anytime that it feels like a fumble. It was a full shutdown, and then she writes a song about me. And I'm like, okay, cool, cool, cool, that's how you wanna deal with it? Karma."
Perry closed out the discussion by calling for the bullshit to end. "I think personally that women together, not divided, and, like, none of this petty bullshit," she said. "Women together will heal the world."
