Run the Jewels has shared a new video for their "Ooh LA LA" single that was shot in March, shortly before serious COVID-19 containment efforts started hitting the U.S.

In a joint statement, Killer Mike and El-P—who collaborated with DJ Premier and Greg Nice for the latest RTJ4 hype-stoker—praised the work of directors Brian and Vanessa Beletic.

"We shot this video only a few weeks before the pandemic hit with no clue as to what the future held," RTJ said when sharing the new video on Monday. "The fact that we got the chance to do it is damn near miraculous in hindsight. In conceptualizing the video with our friends Brian and Vanessa Beletic, we imagined the world on the day that the age-old struggle of class was finally over. A day that humanity, empathy, and community were victorious over the forces that would separate us based on arbitrary systems created by man."

The duo further explained that the video, featuring a cameo by Rage Against the Machine's Zack de la Rocha, is intended to show "a fantasy" in which a monetary system and other man-made lines of division have been eradicated.

Last week, RTJ launched a line of fundraiser t-shirts in support of their tour crew following a postponed global tour with RATM in light of COVID-19.
