The meta-as-fuck video for Quavo and Lil Yachty's Joe Budden diss "Ice Tray" is imminent. Late Tuesday night, Migos shared a clip of the upcoming Everyday Struggle-mocking visual achievement. As expected, a trio of lookalikes is taking center stage.
Over the weekend, we were gifted with the official "Ice Tray" cover art.
The track itself made a home on Quality Control Music's new compilationControl the Streets Volume 1, which also features Cardi B and Travis Scott.
These decidedly meta moments stem from Migos' highly memeable moment at this year's BET Awards, Yachty confronting Budden about his anti-Yachty stance on Everyday Struggle, and the ensuing back-and-forth that's currently doing an excellent job of advertising "Ice Tray." Though we don't have an official release date for the video featuring a presumably spot-on Everyday Struggle parody, it's clear we should expect it before year's end.
Next up, I hope to be featured in a staged documentary about Complex writers based on a script by Migos that will have its world premiere on an app invented by Lil Yachty.
