For reasons not entirely clear, Pusha T has been swept up in an apparent bot campaign.
As fans noticed on Twitter in recent days, a slew of King Push-mentioning tweets popped up in response to the below tweet regarding Yeat and Lil Uzi Vert’s “Flawless” being certified Gold by the RIAA.
A quick scroll through the tweet’s quotes and replies shows that accounts (most of which possessed a few key elements pointing to its likely bot origins) had started sharing bizarrely specific claims about the acclaimed Daytona and It’s Almost Dry artist. Soon, the pattern emerged beyond the original tweet and elsewhere on Twitter.
“I wouldn’t be surprised if PUSHA Ts next album is titled ‘Hot Garbage,’” one tweet from an account with zero followers read. Another, from an account with two followers, stated, "PUSHA T collects Salamanders and impregnates them during the summer.”
For now, neither Drake nor Pusha T have publicly responded to such talk.
In December, Pusha T—who rolled out his critically lauded fourth album in April of last year—reflected on the 2018 peak of his and Drake’s feud. Speaking with C. Vernon Coleman II for XXL, Push pointed out how much time has passed since that peak while acknowledging that he’s aware of perceived “subliminals” that have popped up over the years.
“Every time I hear a subliminal in one of his songs, it just lets me know how deep it hurt him,” he said at the time. Push himself, meanwhile, is “not interested anymore.”
More recently, fans have been caught up in the ongoing issues between Push and Jim Jones. As previously reported, the back-and-forth began with Jones’ remarks on Rap Caviar earlier this year in which he argued that Push didn’t deserve to be in the “greatest rappers of all time” discussion.
