Carti shared what we now know is the song's cover art earlier this week in the wake of a widely shared update on his Georgia arrest that included multiple instances of the word "alleged." In short, it's been a very Carti-heavy week.

Fans, of course, have been waiting on more word regarding the long-teased release of Carti's Whole Lotta Red project, which has presumably gone through multiple iterations since first being discussed way back in 2018. When responding to a fan who expressed some understandable real world annoyance regarding social distancing-spurred isolation woes, Carti again teased the project's release while simultaneously advising a patience-minded approach.

Last year, Carti told the Fader he had amassed approximately 50 possible project tracks since kicking off Red sessions in late 2018. And at one point, the project was said to have zero features.

We're now nearly two years removed from the release of the gold-certified Die Lit, which landed on multiple year-end lists, including Complex's own 50 Best Albums of 2018.

Speaking on his creative process at the time in a 2017 interview with Complex, Carti referenced The Lost Boys.

"I paused the movie and played my music over top of it and it looked so crazy," he said. "I thought, Damn, I wanna look like this. That's me, that's Playboi Carti, a vampire on a dirt bike. Flying. Laughing and shit. The fangs, my grills. Long hair, dreads. Rock star shit."

Amen.
