Adding to the welcomed litany of recent Kid Cudi-centered moments of headline inspiration on Monday was a fan's spotting of the Entergalactic artist in a psychology textbook.

Twitter user @sussyrivera2 shared a photo showing a page from the ninth edition of Ronald J. Comer and Jonathan S. Comer's Fundamentals of Abnormal Psychology textbook, adding in her own praise to Cudi for having "brought great awareness" to mental health. Specifically, she commended him for speaking candidly on how treatment "actually works" for those who may be in the middle of similar experiences in life.

As fellow fans are aware, Cudi has made a concerted effort to openly discuss his own struggles with mental health, including in a 2018 interview on Red Table Talk.

"It's like my life was this show and I was always supposed to be on, but when the show was over I was completely miserable for a long time," Cudi said at the time, also reflecting on periods of heavy cocaine use he has since left behind. "I was not happy when I woke up in the morning, it started off with something as simple as that. Just being like 'Why don’t I feel OK?' and not really knowing what that was."

Over the weekend, Cudi popped up for a Bernie Sanders rally in Los Angeles. His multimedia project Entergalactic is due this year.

If you or someone you know is experiencing struggles with matters of mental health, help is available.
