It begins with a tweet. On Friday, Dr. Dre announced that he had some "unreleased music" to share and would promptly do so on the next episode of his Beats 1 radio showThe Pharmacy:
2015 has proven quite a triumph for Dre, who finally delivered on years of anticipation with new music in the form of the compilation-style Compton. The album, much like its cinematic counterpart Straight Outta Compton, quickly proved a critical and financial success. Speaking with Snoop Dogg on a previous episode of The Pharmacy, Dre also revealed plans to bring a massive tour to Europe with some predictably legendary guest stars. His dream lineup? Snoop, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, and himself.
