Joey Purp and RZA stopped by Jimmy Fallon's Tonight Show to perform the track “Godbody Pt. 2” from Purp’s most recent project QUARTERTHING.

RZA took the stage first on Monday night, performing the song’s intro: “A billion, data, Bitcoins and microchips/Intel Pentium, silicon and biochips/Sitting on Oprah's sofa/My drink is on a solid gold coaster."

The follow-up to Purp’s excellent 2016 offering iiiDrops—which featured the first "Godbody"—is 2018's QUARTERTHING, which also features from GZA, Ravyn Lenae, Queen Key, and Cdot Honcho. In addition to notable guest verses from Chicagoans, the project was produced by a familiar group of Chicago musicians and producers, including Nate Fox, Nico Segal, Peter Cottontale, Thelonious Martin, Knox Fortune, and Nez & Rio.

On Oct. 20, Purp also appeared on the L.A. Leakers on Power 106 to spit a freestyle over 2Pac's All Eyez on Me track “Ambitionz Az a Ridah.”

QUARTERTHING received big praise from one of Purp’s most notable collaborators, Chance the Rapper. The two previously worked together on the iiiDrops cut “Girls @,” as well as Smoko Ono and Kami’s song “Reboot.”
