YNW Melly just learned that he'll wait a little bit longer before he's due back in court, as a judge pushed back his new double murder trial by a week.

On Friday, the Florida rapper returned to a Broward County courtroom dressed in a red jail jumpsuit and shackles to learn the news. Jury selection was supposed to occur on Oct. 2 but will now happen on Oct. 9.

Melly seemed to be happy with the pushback, as NBC 6 South Florida reported he looked at his attorney and mouthed the phrase "I'm coming home" or "I'm going home." He reportedly gave a big smile and clapped his hands as he turned the corner.

The announcement for the new trial comes after a jury couldn't unanimously decide if the 24-year-old rapper was guilty or not guilty in the initial double murder trial. Melly, who was facing two first-degree murder charges, pleaded not guilty.

YNW Melly is accused of shooting and killing two friends, Anthony Williams (YNW Sakchaser) and Christopher Thomas Jr. (YNW Juvy), and staging the crime scene to make it appear like a drive-by shooting had occurred.

Recently, a juror opened up about the behind-the-scenes of the trial in an interview with regional outlet WPLG. The unnamed juror claimed that most jury members wanted a conviction in Melly's case. However, another juror "was there to cause chaos" for the trial.

"From day one, she had issues with the foreperson selected, at one point crossing her arms and saying she was 'done!'" the anonymous juror told reporter Ian Margol. "When another juror asked to not shut down and set her feelings aside, she exploded. ... She was explosive, manipulative, she was rude, she yelled insults at anyone who had a different opinion."
