After Joe Biden bowed out of the presidential race on Sunday, people couldn't help but find some similarities to J. Cole wanting no part of Kendrick Lamar earlier in the year.

Some posted images of Cole on stage announcing that he was exiting the beef, while others used clips of the Dreamville rapper's now infamous speech.

J. Cole's decision to back out of the beef came after he admitted to feeling lame for dissing Kendrick Lamar on "7 Minute Drill," which was released in April.

"Y'all love Kendrick Lamar, correct?" Cole said at the time. "As do I. So I just wanna come up here and publicly be like bruh, that was the lamest goofiest shit, and I say all that to say it made me feel like 10 years ago when I was moving incorrectly, and I pray that god will line me back up on my purpose and my path, I pray that my n***a didnt feel no way and if he did, my n***a, I got my chin out, take your best shot, I'ma take that shit on the chin, boy. Do what you do. all good. It's love. And I pray that y'all will like, forgive a n***a for the misstep and I can get back to my true path, 'cause I ain't gonna lie to y'all, the past two days felt terrible."

Fans and critics dragged Cole for the apology but later understood why he backed out as a result of how vicious the beef between Drake and Kendrick soon became.
