Lil Yachty has debuted a brand new hairstyle ahead of his performance at 2024 Rolling Loud Miami.
On Friday, Yachty posted on his X page that he had cut off the braids he's worn throughout his career and was sporting a Caesar with a fresh line-up. Fans were shocked to see that Lil Boat had chopped his hair off, and many compared his new look to that of Harlem rap legend Mase.
Yachty also surprised fans at Rolling Loud Miami when he took the stage to perform his evening set. During his performance, Yachty asked the crowd if they liked his new cut, and they roared in approval.
Other fans pointed out that Yachty pulled a page out of Drake's book, as he had also recently cut his braids for a much shorter hairstyle. Yachty and Drake's friendship seemed to be fractured lately due to the drama with the song "SOD." However, rumors of their split appeared to be false as Yacthy recently served as a model for OVO's upcoming The Simpsons collaboration.
Last year, Yachty met a fan who got a haircut that showed Yachty's face and red braids styled into the back of his head. Yachty shared clips of the link-up on TikTok with the fan, explaining how far he went to get the haircut.
"I'm from Florida and I flew to Illinois to get this cut, and then on top of that, I flew to Charlotte just to meet you just to show you this," the fan said.
