Over the weekend, the 2023 Juno Opening Night Awards took place in Edmonton, Alberta, with winners already being given their awards.

The Weeknd dominated the categories he was nominated for, bringing home four Juno Awards. The R&B singer won the Juno Award for Single of the Year, Artist of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, and Pop Album of the Year. The Weeknd is up for two more awards tonight including the TikTok Juno Fan Choice award and 2022’s Album of the Year for Dawn FM.

Savannah Ré also took home the Traditional R&B/soul recording of the year award for her song “Last One,” featuring Dylan Sinclair.

Kaytranada and Anderson .Paak came up big in the Rap Single of the year category, in which the duo won for their track “Twin Flame.”

The winners for Rap album of the year, Contemporary R&B recording of the year, and Breakthrough artist of the year award have not yet been given out.

The winner for these categories, and all the remaining ones, will be announced at tonight’s ceremony.
