Charlotte Cardin season is fast approaching. The Montreal singer dropped her latest single “Confetti” this week ahead of her sophomore album titled 99 Nights.

The bouncy track, which features production from Montreal TikTok star Lubalin, tackles the idea of being an introvert living a life in the spotlight where every one of your moves is analyzed under a microscope.

“I feel like a zombie, I’ll die at the party, yeah, you’ll find my body fully covered in confetti,” Cardin sings on the chorus.

The song may be solemn in theme, but Cardin’s feathery vocals and lively performance over a dance beat bring it to life.

“‘Confetti’ is an ode to introverts. I had the realization that at every single party I had ever been to, I would lock myself in the bathroom at some point and try to compose myself and gather my thoughts,” Cardin wrote in a press release. “And when I became aware of that, I thought, ‘Okay I should write a song about this.’ It’s a party track for people who hate actually being at the party.”

To promote the freshly released song, Cardin appeared on The Zane Lowe Show where she announced the aforementioned title of her forthcoming album and that it was expected to come out in August.

Cardin recently featured on Skiifall’s single “Yuteman Denis.”
