Skiifall season is in full swing.

The Montreal-via-Saint-Vincent artist released his new single “Yuteman Denis” today with an accompanying video.

The single also features Quebec superstar Charlotte Cardin and Zibz. The track was produced by frequent collaborator Yama//sato, along with Montrealers Da-P, DoomX (of Planet Giza), and Dayhills.

Skiifall divides the track into two distinct halves. The first, backed by Cardin’s angelic voice, sets the melancholic tone for the rest of the track while the video sees a group of rioters light a myriad of objects on fire in the middle of what looks like a church.

The latter half turns up the heat, featuring an eerie beat switch. Skiifall, whose performance in the song’s intro relishes in its quietness, switches gears for a far more menacing flow.

The video in turn removes all the colour from its palette, contrasting the opening shots. The video sees a young boy bouncing between various locations such as school, church, and recreational areas, perhaps marking a precursor for the fire seen at the beginning.

Finally, the track concludes with a spoken word outro from Zibz before the video transitions back to a shot of the kid in the fiery church.

Skiifall previously released “Fam Without Blood” back in December, which is slated to land on his forthcoming Woiiyoie Tapes Vol. 2 project, which will feature seven tracks.

He also said on Instagram that “vol 2 complete, what’s the date,” so expect the sequel to Woiiyoie Tapes Vol. 1 in the near future.
