For the past couple years, the rapper, actor, and poet Saul Williams has been exceedingly busy. He's releasing new music and a new book of poetry at the same damn time, just a year after having starred in Holler If Ya Hear Me, a Broadway musical based on the music and principles of Tupac ShakurAfter the untimely closure of Holler in July, just six weeks into its inaugural run, Williams has been working with the Black Lives Matter movement and dreaming of Paris.

Williams released his latest single, "Horn Of the Clock-Bike," in September, and today he shares the song's official music video, directed by Kivu Ruhorahoza. Much like his earlier "Black Stacey," which employs a piano recital as backdrop to a nostalgic rut, "Horn Of the Clock-Bike" is a dark and disenchanted riff about power and violence. In the video, he's monitored by a drone. Paranoia and rebellion are common themes in Williams' work, but never have those themes sounded as seductive as they do here.

You can order Williams' new book of poetry, US (a.), here.
