Back in 2014, Kendrick Lamar joined Prince on stage to perform the Crystal Ball track, "What’s My Name" and even added his own verse to the special track. The performance was all part of Prince's event to celebrate the release of his new albums, Plectrumelectrum and Art Official Age, and the history behind his famed Paisley Park estate. Thankfully, Paisley Park and Yahoo! are now letting the public watch the memorable performance through the Prince Museum Facebook page. The rare video begins with footage of an electric all-female band rocking out before Prince hits the stage to perform the obscure 1998 song. There is really nothing better than watching Lamar join Prince on stage in such a special setting.

It makes sense Prince would have invited Lamar out to perform. The pair collaborated on music for Kendrick's To Pimp a Butterfly, but it was never finished due to time constraints. Kendrick also admitted untitled unmastered. was inspired by Prince and credited him for the recently released set of B-sides. Fans have long known these two share a special relationship, but this new footage offers an even better glimpse at the musical chemistry these two shared.

This isn't the only rare item on Prince to recently surface. On Monday, Rolling Stone shared a lost cover story with the music legend to celebrate his legacy. The story also revealed some surprising facts about Prince, including a part about him reaching out to Chris Brown years ago to try and mentor him. Hopefully, this is only the beginning of more on Prince's past to see the light of day. You can watch Prince's performance with Kendrick above.
