Kevin Hart's new movie, Kevin Hart: What Now? is out today in theaters and the comedian dropped a mixtape as his rap alter ego, Chocolate Droppa.
The mixtape features new tracks from the likes of Trey Songz, who is featured on the single "Push It On Me," T.I., Migos, Chris Brown, along with Joelle James, Nick Jonas, Akon, and more. There's also a new joint from longtime collaborators Big Sean and 2 Chainz who exchange bars on "Light It Up" and Hart's fellow Philadelphian PnB Rock links up with Lil Yachty on "All Day."
One track finds Chocolate Droppa giving his best attempt to freestyle over a Metro Boomin produced beat while others let the other rappers in the game shine. For Hart, he told Complex it all came down to relationships when selecting the rappers for the mixtape. "You got some artists that just rub me the right way. I'm not trying to go lower than me. It’s all or nothing. We givin’ a hunnid—or we givin' a hunnid!"
Of course, Droppa is no stranger to Hart's fans who have been following him for years. Droppa has garnered over 25 million YouTube views alone and made a notable appearance on Saturday Night Live hardcore fans, popping up on the comic’s 72-million followers strong social media feeds since 2011, garnering over 25 million YouTube views and notably appearing on Saturday Night Live in 2015 to reveal his new song inspired by his crew's biggest secrets.
