The Combat Jack Show just issued its final episode following the passing of its creator, Reggie Ossé aka Combat Jack.

In an effort to celebrate Reggie's life and legacy, co-hosts Premium Pete, Dallas Penn, Just Blaze, A-King, Matt Raz, DJ Benhameen, Jonathan Mena, and Loud Speakers Network co-founder Chris Morrow got together for a two-and-a-half hour episode to reminisce on the show's highlights and discuss Combat Jack's revered legacy.

Jonathan Mena opened the show with a brief address in honor of Ossé and the fans who helped make the show what it is:

"Internets! This episode was in the making for a long time. While we’d preferred to have done this while our dear brother Combat Jack was still with us in the physical, you asked for it and we finally got it done…The Reunion Episode. Yes, the crew was in the building… A-King, Dallas Penn, Premium Pete, Matt Raz, DJ Benhameen, Just Blaze, Jonathan Mena and LSN Captain Chris Morrow. So much emotions as we powered through reminiscing about the early days of the Combat Jack Show. Shout out to long time friends and supporters Jamiliah Lemieux, Derrick “D-Dot” Angelettie (who stopped by), Westside Gunn, Dart Adams and more who called in to share their fond memories and moments of Combat Jack.

"While this may serve as the final Combat Jack Show, we will always keep the legacy alive and may you all continue to #RaiseTheBar. Thank you all for your support and we ask that you keep his family and us in your thoughts and prayers. It.Does.Not.Stop….Love!"

“It was closure,” Mena, the show’s producer, told Billboard of recording their last hooray. “It’s what he would’ve wanted.”

The Combat Jack Show began in 2010 as an online radio show, and kicked in the door of the podcast world not long after. Combat Jack was known for having the special touch with guests that allowed him to get answers they wouldn't share in other interviews. With its growth, the Combat Jack Show has become one of the most successful in the podcast world, opening doors for spin-off projects like Ossé's investigative podcast Mogul: The Life and Death of Chris Lighty.

Back in October, Ossé announced to his followers and colleagues that he had been diagnosed with colon cancer. The podcast pioneer kept an upbeat attitude as the world sent their well wishes. Unfortunately, his hard-fought battle with the illness ended when he passed away on December 21st at New York City's Beth Israel Hospital. He was 53 years old.
