Growing up can be tough — tumultuous even — but it can also be the greatest moment in your life. That's certainly been the case for Oslo-based singer-songwriter Selmer who's poured all of that into his effortlessly cool new indie pop cut "New Me".

Backed by a funk-laden instrumental courtesy of Julian Karlsson, live he is joined by Sivert Bjørgum (guitar), Iver Armand Tandsether (guitar), Mats Jøger (keys), Henrik Bakken (bass) and Erlend Sandegren Hisdal (drums), "New Me" is the sound of that rush when you realise the whole world is at your feet and anything is possible.

"I wrote 'New Me' in between takes of the 'Thinking Freely' music video. The song is about my transition from being a vulnerable teenager to becoming a young adult, where pretty cool things started to happen in my life. It's the soundtrack of my life's turning point. I made three different verses for 'New Me' before I landed on this version."
