The highly-rated Maya Jane Coles is back, this time returning to her Nocturnal Sunshine alias for a dark and brooding UK garage number called "U&ME". The new track comes from the EP of the same name, due April 12, and marks the first new material under the alias since a self-titled album and some singles in 2015.
Now she's back (with whispers of a new album floating around too, though details remain sketchy) and more fired up than ever. The usual UKG reference points she draws from can still be heard coursing through the track, but "U&ME" has a sneaking element of dark and sparse jungle to raise temperatures and heart rates in equal measure.
What the rest of the EP will hold is anyone's guess at this point, but for now, take in the title track below.
