The dust has barely settled after Central Cee took on Flukes’ “I Have Nothing” instrumental for his “CC Freestyle” (and in turn, taking a couple of playful potshots), but he’s already back with a new drop. “BAND4BAND” sees the West London rapper connect with Atlanta rhymer-turned-actor Lil Baby for a show of wealth and strength.
Lil Baby has been relatively quiet on the release front. Save for appearances on “CBFW” by Memphis rapper FTO Sett and French Montana’s “Okay” in January and February, respectively, his last drop was “Crazy”, although his role in Season 3 of Starz’s BMF has kept him in the spotlight.
Wowa was tasked with directing the video, which seems to have been filmed during Baby’s recent visit to London. Switching between the grey banks of the River Thames and the decidedly more comfortable interior of a private jet, the pair take stock of their successes thus far—and rightly so.
