The two rappers have been at odds for quite some time.

Last night, Central Cee put out the “CC Freestyle”, using Flukes’ 2007 classic instrumental, “I Have Nothing”, for an unexpectedly grimey sound.

Since then the track’s become something of a talking point. In the first instance, a lot of people took exception to Central Cee’s claim that “I’m the reason the UK valid”. Not too surprisingly, that raised a few eyebrows, but another section has proved even more incendiary.

Cench and fellow West London rapper Digga D have been odds for quite a while now. What is said to have started on a street level, their beef has now carried over into the music, with both parties regularly throwing jabs at each other on wax.

The latest from Cench to Digga:

“Surrender your flag ’cause you’re not no Crip, don’t be angry at me that you got no hits / You could go ends and they all know Cench, you could go ends and they might know you / Try leave London and cross the bridge and ask who he is and they got no clue / I’m a millionaire, bro, what about you? Fuck the drill, that’s not what I do / I trapped and it changed my life, you trapped and all that you bought was Loubs.”

Digga D responds to Central Cee dissing him in his latest track.

In response, Digga D, who’s currently behind bars awaiting trial on drug charges, issued a statement on his socials (via his management team) pouring cold water on the whole thing. “I ain’t Drake or Kendrick”, he says, in reference to (if it even needs explaining) the war currently raging between the two rappers. Make of that what you will...

With everything going on for Digga, it’s unlikely we’ll get a back-and-forth a la Drake and Kenny, but hopefully once he’s out again we’ll see him fired up and back in the booth.
