Logic Reveals He 'Almost Cried' Over J. Cole Collaboration

Logic gave a very emotional (and detailed) answer on his friendship with J Cole.

Continuing to ride the high that comes with having the No. 1 album in the country, Logic sat down with Hard Knock TV to talk about his reverence for J. Cole.

Logic hasn't been shy about Cole's influence on his career, so getting the Dreamville rapper to appear on Everybody had to have been a major achievement. According to Logic, Cole initially turned down a spot on "Take It Back," but was open to contributing to the album and sent in a voice recording of a verse now known as "Acceptance" that was included on the album-ending "AfricAryan."

"You are my Hov, you are my Jay Z. I waited outside for you. You're the only rap concert I've ever been to," Logic told Cole at the time. And when he finally locked in that Cole verse, Logic almost broke down.

"I almost cried," he said. "This is my idol accepting me."

Definitely good stuff. Watch the full video above and check out Logic's Complex cover story here.
