On Wednesday, Joey Badass stopped by Power 105's The Angie MartinezShow where he announced that he will be starring in the upcoming Wu-Tang: An American Saga

"Me and Dave East is in Wu-Tang," Badass told Martinez at the interview's 17:30 mark. He then went onto confirm that he'll be embodying Wu-Tang rapper Inspectah Deck for the ten-part drama.

Badass is the second rapper cast to play a member of the iconic hip-hop group. As he mentioned, it was announced that Harlem's Dave East was cast to act as Method Man. Badass also stated that the mini-series, which is executive produced by RZA and Method Man, is already in production and set to hit Hulu before the end of 2019.

"We still shooting. But it comes out this year," Badass said when asked if all the footage had been captured. The rapper then went on to say that Hulu is paying close attention to every detail to ensure they provide a quality project.

"It's pretty on point from what I've seen," Badass stated. "I like what they're doing. I like how they're doing it. The only thing with TV is it ain't a music video. There's no playback. You just have to trust. You have to give your best performance and hope they pick the right take."

Joey's conversation with Martinez was littered with breaking news and announcements. In addition to sharing his latest acting roles, Badass also announced that his Beast Coast collective will be putting together a make-up show since their Governors Ball performance got canceled due to inclement weather.

"We was supposed to do Gov Ball—we got rained out," Joey explained. "Gov Ball got canceled now we're announcing our New York show... Tickets available today specifically for my Gov Ball people. So if you missed Gov Ball you can get in there first."

For those that missed Beast Coast's performance at Gov Ball, a password to have advanced access to the New York show will be shared through Joey's social media, as well as other accounts associated with the collective.

General admission will go on sale Thursday, June 6 at noon local time. The concert will take place on Aug. 22 at Pier 17.
