According to Billboard, Cyntoia Brown has married Pretty Ricky's J. Long days after being granted clemency. Brown's representative Wes Yoder confirme the two have wed and Cyntoia now goes by the surname of Brown-Long.
Yoder did not go into further detail on their relationship. Instead, he claimed that those who are interested can read the full story when Brown-Long's new book hits shelves on Oct. 15. Free Cyntoia: My Search for Redemption in the American Prison System will detail Brown-Long's fight with the criminal justice system while using her coming of age story as the backdrop.
Although neither J. Long nor Brown-Long has publicly announced their marriage, Long did turn his Instagram account into a picture collage featuring himself and his wife.
Brown-Long was released from prison last week. Her release came after her story received a tremendous amount of support from both celebrities and other concerned citizens. Brown-Long was sentenced to life in prison at the age of 16 after she was found guilty of murder. Yet Brown-Long was a sex-trafficking victim and killed the man out of self-defense. The wave of support seemed to sway Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam, who granted Brown-Long clemency under the conditions that she doesn't violate any state or federal crime before she completes her 10 years on parole.
