The FIFA World Cup of Soccer is coming to Canada in 2026 alongside the United States and Mexico, and count Drake among the fans excited to see the world's best come to his hometown of Toronto.

In an interview with FIFA President Gianni Infantino at the schedule announcement over the weekend, the 6 God talked up Toronto, which will be hosting the first match of the tourney on June 12 in 2026.

"Canada as a whole, we have an incredible melting pot. But in Toronto, there are just so many different cultural experiences," he explained. "So when the world comes, it's going to be beautiful."

He also called his fellow Canucks "the nicest people you'll ever meet" and that there's "no passion like football passion."

In addition to Toronto, World Cup 2026 games will also be played Vancouver. Each city will hold five group matches.

The Canadian men's soccer team qualified for the World Cup for the first time in decades in 2022, but are hoping for a better finish in 2026. It remains to be seen if Drake, who's been known to bet on sporting events, will drop some money on Alphonso Davies and the squad.
