Following the news that Mac Miller passed away on September 7, artists like Drake, Childish Gambino, and J. Cole have paused concerts to pay tribute to the late rapper.

On Sunday, Open Late host Peter Rosenberg remembered Miller in his own way with a two-hour tribute mix on Hot 97. Opening with the 2010 hit "Kool Aid & Frozen Pizza" and finishing with 2016's Anderson .Paak-assisted "Dang!" the mix highlighted all eras of Miller's diverse catalog.

Before airing the mix, Rosenberg tweeted a video montage of memories with Miller over the years and wrote, "I am playing 2 straight hours of Mac on Hot 97. I cannot believe I am doing a tribute show to him. I have done too many of these over the years. None has made me quite this sad. But tonight we will turn it up loud for Mac Miller."

"I just felt a tiny bit of happiness thinking about how many great Mac Miller stories I have to tell in the coming weeks, months, and years," Rosenberg wrote on Friday. "He was such a kind and hilarious soul. We must find the message in a loss like this. It cannot be for no reason. He was too great."

This week's episode of Rosenberg's Complex show Open Late will be dedicated to Miller. The show will be available to watch on YouTube this Wednesday, September 12.
