On Oct. 31, OutKast’s Stankonia turns 15. The fourth studio album from everyone’s favorite ATLiens featured iconic singles—“So Fresh, So Clean,” “Ms. Jackson,” “B.O.B.”—that contributed to their overall success as trendsetters who weren’t afraid to take risks. Stankonia was an experimental and bold effort that allowed them to reach a worldwide audience. Without Stankonia, you could argue that being weird in hip-hop wouldn’t be as widely accepted as it is today.

Just one day before the anniversary, MTV News put together a mini-documentary that features rare footage of Big Boi and André 3000 at Stankonia Studios and unreleased interviews with them from 2000. They also spoke with the likes of T.I., Wale, Cee-Lo Green (who originally appeared on “Slum Beautiful”),DJ Khaled and Father. Check out the ten-minute feature above.
