Rumors of Drake and Rihanna dating again are fodder for gossip magazine and websites, but this latest display of affection just screams #relationshipgoals.
On Friday afternoon, Black-ish actress Yara Shahidi posted on her Twitter what appears to be a billboard somewhere in Los Angeles. It reads, “Congratulations to Rihanna from Drake and Everyone at OVO.”
The celebratory statement beats sending flowers or a singing telegram. Everyone is guessing the congrats for Rihanna are coming because she’s the recipient of the 2016 VMA Video Vanguard Award, following Kanye West and his incredible speech from last year. And as expected, Twitter couldn’t help but feel the love that Drizzy was giving RiRi.
Rihanna eventually saw it and responded on her Instagram with “when he extra” with a heart and trophy emoji. Aw.
Maybe RiRi will return the favor this Sunday at the VMAs? She’s scheduled to perform a medley of songs from her older material and ANTI. Cross your fingers for a performance of “Work.” Better tune in to find out.
